40Feb 15, 2012 7:59 PMTexture (mountains? desert? grass?). Distance between two things or points or people (i.e. how far I have to travel, what route I have to take). Groupings of people... When I look out the window of a plane at night, I like to look at the clusters of lights that represent what parts of the geography are populated versus what's not, how much of "dark space" exists between two clusters, etc.

Maybe also how all of the current came about (dinosaurs, plates, volcanos, layers in rocks etc...), but personally I care more about the present. Also various meta info like population, culture, climate, distribution of money, power, illiteracy etc. All those things that I would love to see visualized on a map so I could get an overview, the bigger picture. I love overviews.
